The Zoom Booth comprises a singular wall that forms an intermediary space between it and Avalon, framing the existing windows and the vibrant context of Willis Street. This thoughtful design allows our visitors to alternate between views, gazing into the café or looking out into the distance, thus mitigating Zoom fatigue and fostering a more engaging work experience.
Within this versatile wall, three distinct work zones offer individuals a myriad of ergonomic positions to choose from, granting them the freedom to move comfortably during work. The emphasis is on enhancing user comfort and flexibility.
Our "Zoom Booth," a revolutionary concept that acts as a window to the street, epitomizes the evolution of work culture. From the days of Fordism to the era of virtual Zoom meetings, the focus has always been on bringing work to the worker and optimizing performance. However, we recognize the importance of balancing productivity with the well-being of our workers, allowing them to fulfill personal tasks efficiently.
This innovative intervention gracefully wraps around the corner of Avalon Bakery in Detroit, Michigan, creating a seamless blend of interior and exterior spaces for people to work in. By leveraging patterns in tandem with OBS technology, individuals can digitally reveal or conceal themselves within their work environment, granting them greater control over their virtual presence.
Stepping inside, the unique pattern reappears, providing users with a captivating Zoom background that can digitally conceal or reveal them on camera, thanks to the innovative collaboration between OBS and Zoom. This cutting-edge technology intelligently recognizes the pattern behind the user and brings specific colors to the foreground for seamless concealment. Additionally, creative green screens enable users to incorporate fun and entertaining videos into their work environment.
The Zoom Booth at Avalon Bakery presents a bold step towards redefining the work experience, acknowledging the evolution of work culture, and prioritizing the well-being of our users while maximizing their performance potential.
